Therapist at FSC|The Center for Mental Health & Wellbeing – Galveston, Texas

The Therapist I or II is responsible for conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, conducting clinical interventions, and assessing outcomes of clients at a school in Galveston County

The Therapist I or II will join FSC’s clinical team of committed professionals who bring Hope and Healing to individuals who have been impacted by trauma, are dealing with difficult life situations, or are living with mental illness. FSC provides in-house supervision for individuals with provisional licensure in the state of Texas or a set stipend for individuals with established supervisors external to our agency. FSC is seeking dynamic candidates from all walks of life who will contribute to a positive work environment rich in diversity, and who are passionate about providing mental health services.

FSC serves a large Spanish-speaking population and offers stipends to Spanish-speaking professionals to assist us in meeting the needs of our community. Additionally, FSC is seeking qualified Black, Hispanic, and White male therapists to grow the diversity of our team to better match the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will be able to implement knowledge of the treatment process from first contact to the evaluation of client outcomes; and have effective written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and a strong ability to work cooperatively with other professionals or school administration either in teams or in consultation.

Knowledge of, and compliance with, the principles of professional ethics is essential. Knowledge of computers, software applications and mobile communication devices is also needed.
