Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate daily with Project Managers and Project Coordinator on schedules, submittals/RFIs, permits, inspections, material takeoffs, purchase orders, delivery sequencing, and closeout documentation. Lead Superintendents, Foremen, and Field Staff: set goals, assign work, verify results, run huddles, ride-alongs, and 1:1s. Assess, recruit, and hire field staff; manage onboarding and skill verification. Partner with Safety for pre-construction JSSAs and ensure corrective actions and stop-work culture. Monitor driver safety via telematics; coach and escalate per policy. Own 3–6-week look-ahead schedules; publish weekly crew schedules and daily line-ups. Ensure timely material takeoffs and early PO releases; execute recovery plans for shortages. Call in inspections, use pre-inspection checklists, and target first-time pass. Plan and control labor and costs; manage overtime and recovery plans. Coordinate operations and logistics: cranes, lifts, shutdowns, site access, and commissioning. Enforce quality standards, minimize punch items, and drive fast closeout. Ensure complete daily reports and tagged progress photos. Review time cards daily; correct discrepancies promptly. Uphold commercial discipline; route changes through RFI/CO and protect margin. Direct subcontractors on safety, quality, schedule, and scope; approve invoices. Attend and contribute to weekly meetings; publish pre-reads and minutes on time. Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required EducationBachelor’s Degree in Operations or related field preferred Experience7+ years in commercial HVAC construction, with 3+ years leading field operations/superintendents. Proven delivery of multi-trade mechanical projects (duct, hydronics, controls, commissioning). Hands-on experience with ACC/Procore and BusyBusy (or equivalent); FieldPoint familiarity a plus. Applied lean construction (Last Planner, PPC, constraint removal, A3, 5S) and earned-value labor control. Safety partnership experience and driver-safety coaching using telematics. Field hiring, onboarding, performance coaching, and improvement planning. Track record of first-time inspection passes, minimal punch lists, rapid closeout, and strong client communication.
