The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation among the elderly (age 60+) and disabled (ages 18+).
- Conduct home visits to observe living conditions and interview victims and their caregivers.
- Coordinate necessary interventions and ongoing protective services to ensure the safety of clients.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely responses in critical situations.
- Travel within a multi-county area for home visits, hearings, and training sessions using your personal vehicle as needed.
Adult Protective Services Specialist I
Four or more years of relevant experience in protective services, casework or case management, investigation of abuse/neglect/or exploitation, In home care or intervention services for the elderly or vulnerable populations.
Or
Bachelors degree in Social Work or other human services field.
Adult Protective Services Specialist II
Five or more years of relevant experience in protective services, casework or case management, investigation of abuse/neglect/or exploitation, In home care or intervention services for the elderly or vulnerable populations.
Or
Bachelors degree in Social Work or other human services field and one year of experience protective services, casework or case management, investigation of abuse/neglect/or exploitation, In home care or intervention services for the elderly or vulnerable populations.
