Autonomous Medical Devices Incorporated (AMDI) is a California-based company employing a world class team of engineers, scientists, clinicians, manufacturing and quality/regulatory experts dedicated to the development and manufacture of best in class diagnostic devices using innovative technology, factory automation, and cloud connectivity. AMDI is headquartered in Santa Ana, CA where it manufactures the Fast PCR Mini Respiratory Panel in an ISO:13485 / MDSAP certified 110,000 square foot facility.
Summary of Position

We are looking for an Oracle Cloud DevOps Engineer who can hit the ground running and take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure, security posture, and deployment pipelines. You will play a critical role in scaling our systems, ensuring resilience, and building secure, compliant infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, automating everything, and owning systems end-to-end.

Location: This is an onsite position located at our Santa Ana, CA office. Candidates living within a 25 mile range preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and manage infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable deployments
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for repeatable and scalable environments
  • Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including backup, failover, and recovery testing
  • Ensure high availability and system resilience across environments
  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including identity management, encryption, and network security
  • Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and lead root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and system reliability
  • Continuously improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency


Qualifications Required for Position

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles
  • Previous experience and strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Proven ability to take ownership and deliver independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including:
    • IAM and access control
    • Encryption (at rest and in transit)
    • Network security and segmentation
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or regulated environments, preferred
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), preferred
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), preferred
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, HIPAA), preferred
  • Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, or security audits, preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Database preferred; equivalent experience with enterprise-grade relational databases considered.

Salary Range

The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 annually. If the level of the role changes during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The actual base salary offered will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, and level of education attained.
