What you need to know about this position:
- Broad Imaging Services Department performs an average of 80,000 exams per year and offering CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultra Sound, Nuclear Medicine and all digital X-Ray.
- Our Imaging Services Department supports Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Departments.
- The Technical Assistant provides support to the Radiologic Technologists and Radiologists when needed.
- The primary function of this role is that of transporting patients to and from Radiology.
- Additional responsibilities may include scanning documents into PACS for archiving purposes.
- Knowledge of the exams in Radiology is essential so they are able to inform our patients about their exam. They provide the link between the floor and Radiology to create a safe environment for their patients.
- Radiology Technical Assistants have a base hourly rate of $16.82. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This position will require you to work 8:00am-6:00pm (10 hours), Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- This position may be required to attend education seminars which are remote to the campus of Columbus Regional Hospital. The required CE credits must be maintained in accordance with the accrediting bodies requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Associate (AHA) required
Frequently required to stand, climb, or balance; occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
