JCCS Certified Public Accountants is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAS) team in Bozeman, Montana. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working directly with business clients, improving accounting processes, and helping companies make smarter financial decisions.

A Day in the Life
In this role, you’ll work closely with a variety of business clients while also supporting the internal accounting team. You’ll help client stay on top of their financial information and make informed decisions by reviewing financial reports, improving accounting processes and QuickBooks setup, and preparing financial statements and reconciliations. You’ll also collaborate with JCCS tax professionals, analyze financial data to help provide insights on business performance, and identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency, serving as a trusted resource for both clients and the internal team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements for business clients
- Manage monthly and quarterly accounting processes
- Support payroll processing and related reporting
- Assist clients with accounting system setup and improvements
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
- Performs other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of financial statement preparation
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms.
