Housekeeping Associate at St. Clements, Inc. – Portland, Connecticut

Summary:

The responsibilities of the Housekeeping Associate are to keep and maintain the cleanliness of Saint Clement’s Castle and Marina. This individual must be attentive, have a key eye for detail, and be able to maintain the pristine condition of the castle in accordance with policies, guidelines, and checklists.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleaning before, during and after events without disrupting or interfering with departing guests.
• Responsible for the upkeep and safe use of equipment and cleaning products as well as safe storage.
• Making sure that the outside grounds are cleaned including the ashtrays, garbage picked up around building.
• Cleaning all bathroom by using the bathroom check list, replenishing all toiletries as needed.
• Cleaning of the main offices on every other day basis.
• Reporting any maintenance repairs of the building to a supervisor and writing it in the maintenance log located at the front desk.
• Reporting any outages of cleaning chemical or paper goods.
• Monthly cleaning Dusting of the art gallery catwalk, staircases, light fixtures, air vents.
• Deep cleaning of the bars and coolers during the winter months.
• Vacuuming rugs and carpet.
• Polishing of floors.
• Maintaining knowledge and adhering to all Saint Clements Castle policies and procedures established by the company, including but not limited to those in the employee handbook.

• Weekend availability a must.
• Housekeeping Experience Preferred but not required.
• Must be available to open and close the facility as needed.
• Must have a high level of energy.
• Must work well with others.
• Able to lift, bend and move up to 25 pounds.
