Job Description

CSR Technician II

Summary: Responsible for distribution and storage of materials delivered to the operating room (OR) inventory. Assemblies OR case carts per physician preference lists, replenishes crash carts and intubation boxes, and manages the stock for common sets.

Education: In addition to the skills normally obtained through completion of a High School education, good math skills and some knowledge of computers is helpful.

Licensure: CSR certification required

Experience: One year in a similar environment w/ three months on the job training (or) 9 to 12 months on the job training to be proficient. An understanding of the use/purpose of medical supplies and equipment is highly desirable. Excellent communications skills are required.


Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Generally pleasant conditions. Occasionally required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and exposure to extreme heat, cold and hazardous materials when performing receiving function or distribution. Considerable standing, reaching, and bending when performing supply replenishment function. Must meet all safety requirements as mandated by the hospital.
