Position Summary:The Learning Technology Lead serves as the functional owner and product lead for the organization’s learning technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for executing the design, configuration, and ongoing optimization of learning platforms, with a primary focus on Workday Learning and its integration with adjacent learning tools.

This role partners closely with Learning & Talent Development, HR Technology, and IT to translate learning strategy into scalable, well-governed system solutions that support employee development and business outcomes. As we explore emerging technologies, you’ll help evaluate and responsibly introduce AI-powered solutions, including assistants and lightweight agents that enhance in-the-flow-of-work learning and performance support.

This role is a blend of system management, system orchestration, and vendor partnership with the goal of enabling high-impact learning through thoughtful infrastructure and innovation.

What You'll Do:

Learning Technology Ownership

  • Serve as the primary functional owner for Workday Learning, including configuration, testing, releases, and ongoing optimization
  • Support the transition from Cornerstone to Workday Learning, including data migration, change impacts, and decommissioning planning
  • Own and manage the broader learning and content technology ecosystem (e.g., Degreed, Training Orchestra, Donut, Ethena), ensuring tools work together cohesively
  • Advocate for business needs in vendor interactions to influence product development to meet evolving needs
  • Evaluate third-party content effectiveness and maintain content catalog hygiene in alignment with strategic goals
  • Act as the primary point of contact for learning technology-related enhancements, issues, and roadmap planning in partnership with the Workday Technical Product Owner

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead system implementation, upgrade, and sunsetting efforts with a clear plan and stakeholder alignment
  • Translate learning and development requirements into system designs, configurations, and implementation plans. Balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), release validation, and change readiness activities for learning technologies
  • Partner with IT on integrations, security, and system health while retaining functional accountability
  • Support rollout communications, adoption strategies, and change management in collaboration with internal enablement teams

Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and maintain learning-related reports and dashboards (e.g., completion, adoption, engagement, effectiveness)
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of compliance and learning activity
  • Partner with the Reporting Lead to ensure learning data aligns with enterprise reporting standards and analytics strategy
  • Support data-informed decision-making for L&D leaders and stakeholders

Partnership & Governance

  • Facilitate cross-functional governance forums to guide learning technology decisions and ensure alignment across decentralized learning teams
  • Collaborate with L&D leaders to provide input on learning technology direction while owning execution
  • Participate in HR Technology release management and change governance processes
  • Manage learning technology vendors from a functional and roadmap perspective

Where You'll Work:

This role is hybrid from our Minneapolis, MN office or remote, based on the candidate’s location. For hybrid work, we Succeed Together through in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility. What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting learning technologies or HR systems
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Learning or comparable LMS platforms (Workday experience strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of learning ecosystems and how multiple platforms integrate and complement one another
  • Experience translating business needs into system configuration and functional design
  • Working knowledge of HR data, reporting, and analytics concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional Workday modules, such as Talent & Performance
  • Familiarity with Degreed or learning experience platforms (LXPs)
