Instructor of Accounting at University of Louisiana Monroe – Monroe, Louisiana

The College is seeking an instructor of Accounting. Candidates are expected to contribute primarily to the BBA in Accounting program. The Accounting Program is accredited by AACSB-International. The candidate should have broad competence in Accounting with the ability to teach a variety of face-to-face and online courses.

Candidates who bring experience, expertise, and/or specialization in tax Accounting are most preferred. Effective teaching skill must be demonstrated and is expected in both online and face-to-face classes

• Teach primarily undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semesters.
• Mentor undergraduate students.
• Pursue a program of effective teaching, mentoring, and community engagement.
• Advise students and maintain records of student progress.
• Actively participate in recruitment and retention for the programs.
• Contribute to the mission of the program and college.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Candidates are preferred to have, at a minimum, a master’s degree in Accounting or closely related field of specialization, and must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and service. Expertise should be demonstrated through academic transcripts and/or professional experience.
