Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterans Liaison to serve as a vital connection between veterans, their families, and essential behavioral health services. This role focuses on outreach, advocacy, and care coordination to help individuals navigate services and achieve wellness.

🔹 Position Summary

The Veterans Liaison acts as a primary point of contact for veterans seeking services, ensuring access to comprehensive behavioral health, medical, and social supports. This position promotes person- and family-centered care while helping individuals achieve stability and recovery.

🔹 Qualifications

Required:

Must be a United States military veteran OR spouse of a veteran

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human services field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, Criminal Justice, etc.)

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Experience working with veterans or military populations

Experience in behavioral health, case management, or care coordination

Licensure (e.g., LSW, RN, or similar)

May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends

Participation in an on-call rotation may be required

Background check, drug screening, and WVCares clearance required
