TITLE: Crude & Natural Gas Marketing – Midstream (Manager/Director/Advisor) Please note: Title and compensation will be assigned commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time


SCHEDULE: Mon-Thurs – 9/Friday – 4 (In-Office)


EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Salaried-Exempt


POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring that all natural gas, NGL’s, crude oil or other products produced/extracted from the Company’s wells are marketed or sold while maximizing the product value. This includes but is not limited to negotiation of gas or oil transportation, gas processing, gas, oil and NGL sales or other agreements that facilitate the logistics of the products to market.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand, negotiate, draft, edit, and summarize, in a timely manner, any agreements required to facilitate all Marketing aspects of the Company’s hydrocarbon production
  • Understanding of downstream oil, gas, condensate, and processing infrastructure including but not limited to oil/gas pipelines, processing plants, separation facilities, etc.
  • Make recommendations to Management on high profile Marketing and midstream related items, as needed
  • Work directly with the Legal Department to review material or other agreements prior to approval and execution
  • Ability to manage oil, gas, gas processing, gas balancing, contract administration and FERC regulatory oversight requirements of the Company, as needed
  • Responsible for determining past and future gas and oil price differentials in support of Acquisition and Divestiture (A&D), Reservoir Engineering or other Company departments that need product valuations
  • Be a key team contributor to evaluate marketing agreements, logistics, etc. along with risks or upside opportunities related to acquisitions or divestitures
  • Undertake RFP or other optimization projects to extract the best value for the Company’s hydrocarbon production optionality
  • Responsible for monthly invoicing, accruals, and yield calculations for the various fields
  • Stay abreast of all factors or variables that may influence the value of the Company’s product sales and present periodic market updates
  • Assists gas and oil marketing team on any logistical issues that may arise
  • Research, evaluate and optimize gas processing differentials by modeling gas processing terms, gas plant recoveries, NGL prices, etc.

  • KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years of experience with exposure to commercial transactions and knowledge of oil, gas, NGLs, and midstream assets
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related discipline is required
  • MBA is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage projects
    • General PC ability Advanced Excel skills required

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Ability to wear hard hat, flame retardant clothing, steel toe safety boots and full-face respirator (emergency use only)
