The Opportunity
Atlas Van Lines, Canada Ltd. (AVLC) is seeking a President & Chief Operating Officer to lead its Canadian operations and subsidiary, Connect Logistics Inc. This is a senior executive role with full accountability for strategic direction, operational execution, and financial performance across Canada.
Reporting to the Chairman & CEO of Atlas World Group, the President & COO will serve as the seniormost leader in Canada and a key member of the broader executive leadership team. The role maintains close alignment with U.S.based leadership, the Board of Directors, and Atlas’s national agent network, while serving as the external face of the organization in Canada.
This role offers a rare opportunity to lead a respected, established organization through its next phase of growth, transformation, and operational excellence.
Scope of Leadership
Strategy & Enterprise Leadership
- Set and execute the short and longterm strategic direction for AVLC and its Canadian subsidiaries.
- Anticipate market trends, risks, and opportunities impacting the Canadian logistics and transportation landscape.
- Translate enterprise strategy into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes.
Financial Stewardship
- Full P&L accountability with oversight of operating income, expenses, and capital investment.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and longrange financial planning.
- Drive disciplined decisionmaking focused on value creation, efficiency, and sustainable profitability.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Primary executive interface with the Board of Directors.
- Partner closely with Atlas Van Lines (U.S.) and AWG executives.
- Foster strong, trusted relationships with agents and key business partners across Canada.
Organizational & People Leadership
- Build and lead a highperformance executive team.
- Champion succession planning, leadership development, and organizational capability.
- Ensure the business is appropriately resourced to meet evolving operational demands.
Operational Excellence & Change Leadership
- Lead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
- Promote strong governance, accountability, and management practices.
- Set clear expectations and communicate vision and performance standards across the organization.
Qualifications
Background & Credentials
- Undergraduate degree in a businessrelated discipline required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive senior leadership experience, including executivelevel roles.
- Proven experience leading a business or multifunction organization with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong operational background with oversight across finance, people, and enterprise operations.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively at the board and executive level.
