🎯 About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Transporter to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this position, you will assume responsibility for transporting patients and materials within the hospital. Inventory and fill over-the-counter General Store products correctly and efficiently.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Safely transports patients and materials (to include blood and specimens) within the hospital. Deliver Code Blue Crash Carts, Latex Carts and Urology Catheter Carts as needed.
• Employ safe lifting techniques when transporting patients to and from beds, exam tables, stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Set up different types of traction for patient use.
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue.
• Pick up requisitions for blood, pharmacy meds and slips from required units and deliver them to the appropriate service; deliver stat, lab specimens, and medical charts.
• Inventory and exchange oxygen cylinders and other gas tanks to maintain patient needs.
• Inventory and fill over-the-counter General Stores products correctly and efficiently.
• Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
• Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community

📋 What You Bring

• High school diploma/equivalent and must be at least 18 years old.
  Some hospital experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
