Sawyer County Jail
Jail Officer (Full-Time and Part-Time) - FEMALES
Sawyer County is seeking dedicated and responsible
individuals to join our team as Jail Officers. In this role, you will play a
vital part in maintaining safety and security within our correctional facility
while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
These positions require working a wide variety of hours,
including rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. Jail Officers
perform numerous duties related to the daily operation of the jail.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and respond quickly and effectively in stressful situations
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- No felony or domestic abuse-related convictions Responsibilities: - Ensure inmate and departmental safety
- Maintain continuity between shifts
- Administer routine medical care and dispense medication
- Perform other duties as assigned Wages:
- Part-Time: $22.01/hour
- Full-Time: $24.26/hour Selection procedure includes an oral interview, written test, background check, psychological evaluation, pre-employment physical, and drug screening. Chosen candidates must be willing to obtain Wisconsin State Jailer Certification, sponsored by the employer. Law enforcement officer certification is not required.
