Maintenance Specialist at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMERY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and accomplishes minor maintenance carpentry, electrical, plumbing and fire proofing necessary for the maintenance, repair and renovation of University Health buildings and facilities. Ensures safe, competent, efficient, and timely performance of assigned tasks. Cares for and uses materials, supplies, tools, and equipment properly. Estimates materials, labor costs, and requisitions. Complies with UH and departmental polices and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Completion of high school, trade school or equivalent GED is required. One year experience in at least two or more building crafts such as general maintenance, construction, plumbing or electricity is required. Must possess a Maintenance Technician License from the City of San Antonio or obtain same within 3 months of employment.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver's license "Class C" and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
