About This Position
Position Description:
Plan and coordinate individualized orientation programs for all nursing and direct care employees.
Participate in site-wide employee orientation and ongoing infection control education.
Assess and document staff competencies during orientation, implementation of new procedures, and annually.
Serve as a clinical and infection control resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain compliance with accreditation standards as well as state, federal, and local regulatory requirements.
Support performance improvement initiatives by evaluating the impact of education on the quality of care delivered to the individuals served.
Monitor, evaluate, and report infection trends, communicable diseases, and surveillance data to leadership.
Conduct rounds in living areas to monitor staff compliance with infection control guidelines and promote best practices.
Stay current on trends in infection control, nursing education, and healthcare through professional development, literature, and conferences.What Were Looking ForEducation
Bachelors degree in nursing or a related healthcare field (required)Experience
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience (required)
Experience in nursing education or infection control (preferred)Licenses/Certifications
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or multi-state compact license recognized by the state (required)
