UNION - Floater Position

4087- Wilmington, DE.: Pay rate of $16.40 per hour.

We are a cleaning company that has multiple locations that need nightly cleaning in the WILMINGTON, DE market. The locations will take approximately 4 - 5 HOURS each night to clean depending on location.

OVERVIEW
As a Floater, your role is to fill vacancies, cover leave of absences and take on emergency work.

A Floater typically involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of a facility during the day. This includes tasks like cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, common areas, and high-traffic zones, as well as performing light maintenance and reporting issues. They also handle tasks like emptying trash, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and potentially assisting with setting up or breaking down events.

Key Responsibilities of a Floater:

• Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, lobbies, hallways, elevators, and other common areas.
  • Cleaning and polishing glass doors, windows, and elevator surfaces.
  • Dusting furniture, fixtures, countertops, and other surfaces.
  • Vacuuming carpets and rugs.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Wiping down surfaces to remove spills and debris.
  • Emptying trash and recycling bins.
    
    Customer Service and Assistance:
    • Assisting with setting up and breaking down events.
    • Providing friendly and helpful service to guests and employees.
    • Escorting vendors as directed and reviewing completed work.
• Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Following safety protocols and using cleaning equipment properly.
  • May be required to assist with other tasks as assigned

Dress Code:

Employees are required to wear Elite Uniform during working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• MUST have a reliable transportation to location.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must Be Able to Lift 20+ pounds Regularly Every Day, Bend, Stretch, Climb Stairs, Climb A Ladder, Reach, Twist, Sit, Walk, and squat. Must Be Comfortable Working on Feet for Entire Shift.

COMPENSATION: $16.40 per hour for the first 6 months
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE
