About This Position

Bring your premium retail experience to a specialised technical environment.

Have you worked in fast-paced, high-volume retail but are curious about the technical side of photography?

We are looking for a Retail & Operations Associate to be the face of Rewind Photo Lab. We don't need you to be a film expert yet—we provide full on-the-job training on cameras, film stocks, and lab equipment. We are the premier destination for analogue film in Sydney, processing for everyone from fashion pros to hobbyists.

We need your “retail mind.” This is a retail-first role. While an interest in photography is a bonus, we’re not looking for photographers or creative practitioners we’re looking for people who thrive in busy retail environments, manage queues with confidence, and keep stock and workspaces organised to a high standard.

What You’ll Do

  • Front of House: Be the face of Rewind Photo Lab. Welcome every customer with confidence and care, manage intake orders, and process payments with accuracy and professional polish, even during peak periods.

  • Workflow Coordination: Organise physical orders, tag film, and input data into our tracking systems.

  • Quality Control: Check finished orders to ensure they meet standards before release.

  • Inventory & Stock: Maintain a clean, organised workspace suitable for handling irreplaceable material. Monitor inventory levels, restock products, manage displays, and uphold high presentation standards at all times.

Who You Are

  • Retail Experience: You have at least 6 months’ experience in a fast-paced retail or service environment. You’re comfortable managing queues, multitasking under pressure, and delivering consistent service standards throughout the day.

  • Service & Brand Minded: You understand what excellent customer experience looks like and deliver it instinctively. You represent a brand with confidence, care, and attention to detail.

  • Tech Capable: You may not know film and cameras, but you are generally tech-savvy. You pick up new systems (POS, databases) quickly.

  • Process Driven: You have excellent attention to detail. You spot data entry errors immediately and keep a tidy workspace.

  • Keen to Learn: You are ready to get stuck into the technical side of the business.

Store Hours & Availability

  • Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM

  • Saturday: 9 AM – 2 PM

  • Flexible rostering to suit commitments

  • Minimum 2–4 shifts per week
