The Opportunity

Are you a seasoned field leader with a passion for high-profile commercial builds?

Richard A. Masonry Inc. is seeking a Masonry Superintendent to serve as the primary on-site authority for one of Florida's premier masonry and concrete contractors. In this role, you will have the autonomy to direct large-scale commercial projects from pre-construction to final closeout. You will make a lasting impact by mentoring skilled crews, managing logistics, and delivering critical infrastructure for major retail, medical, and industrial clients across the state.

What You Will Be Doing

As the primary field leader, you will oversee all daily operations to ensure our builds align with contract specifications, budgets, and schedules:

  • Field Leadership: Direct daily site activities and coordinate seamlessly with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve scheduling conflicts and maintain project momentum.

  • Crew Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate on-site crewsincluding masons and subcontractorsto maximize productivity and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.

  • Quality Control: Conduct rigorous daily inspections to verify that all workmanship exactly meets architectural designs, structural blueprints, and our elite quality standards.

  • Logistics & Tracking: Manage project logistics by tracking material usage, ensuring specialized equipment is utilized efficiently to protect the budget, and preparing comprehensive daily field reports for stakeholders.

  • Safety First: Enforce strict compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free job site for every professional.


What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Construction Superintendent specifically within the masonry and concrete sectors.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and construction documents with high technical accuracy.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse crews and resolve on-site conflicts effectively.

  • Technology: Proficiency in using modern technology, including laptops, tablets, and mobile applications for project tracking and reporting.

  • Travel: Absolute willingness to travel across the state of Florida to provide consistent oversight for various project assignments.

  • Licensure: Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications (Not required, but a huge plus!):

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to enhance communication with field crews and subcontractors.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale "Big-Box" retail or multi-story commercial construction projects.

  • Advanced knowledge of specialized masonry techniques, reinforced steel handling, and high-performance concrete.
