JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chain Account Manager (CAM) will lead MBG’s relationship and business execution with H-E-B, one of our most strategic retail partner. This role is responsible for driving volume, distribution (PODs), programming, and flawless in-store execution across all divisions (wine, beer, and emerging categories).
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role requiring strong commercial acumen, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to turn strategy into results at both the corporate and store level.

Chain Strategy & Execution
Own the day-to-day relationship with H-E-B buyers and category managersDevelop and execute annual and quarterly business plans aligned with MBG and supplier goalsDrive distribution gains (PODs), shelf placement, and cold box presenceLead all submissions for resets, cut-ins, and new item presentationsProgramming & Pricing
Build and execute pricing strategies (EDLC, TPR, ad features)Align supplier funding and programming with H-E-B promotional calendarsEnsure pricing accuracy and alignment across all systems and storesVolume & Performance Management
Deliver against volume, revenue, and margin targetsTrack performance vs. goals (velocity, POD growth, display execution)Identify opportunities and gaps, and quickly deploy action planField Execution Leadership
Partner with Area Managers and Sales Reps to ensure best-in-class executionTranslate chain strategy into clear field priorities (displays, features, placements)Hold teams accountable for in-store standards and follow-throughSupplier Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers tied to H-E-BAlign on goals, programming, and growth expectationsLead business reviews and communicate performance updatesCross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Portfolio teamsEnsure alignment on inventory, forecasting, and supply chain needsHelp resolve operational issues impacting chain performance

5+ years of beverage alcohol or CPG experience (distribution or supplier preferred)Proven experience managing chain accounts (H-E-B strongly preferred)Strong understanding of:Pricing strategy (EDLC, TPR, margin structure)Chain programming and promotional calendarsRetail execution and merchandising standardsDemonstrated ability to drive volume growth and distribution gains21 years or older, High School Diploma or GEDExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughProficiency in Excel and data-driven decision makingThis position requires attendance at local meetings, local travel and occasional out-of-town travelHold a valid and current Texas driver’s license within MVR policy guidelines throughout employmentEnsure reliable, insured transportation, in accordance with company policyThe policy must include the following minimum coverage: $100,000 for bodily injury, $300,000 for liability, and $50,000 for property damageMust be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employmentPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
