OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Manager is a key member of Ingenium Aerospace’s quality team and will be highly engaged with the input on all activities performed throughout the organization from proposal creating and conception through aftermarket support.

  • AS9100 Process Owner for all Top Level Ingenium AS9100 documented elements.
  • Repair Station Liaison and Process Owner
  • Document Control & Configuration Management (including change control)
  • Calibration and Calibration Records (Gage/Fixture/Asset Control)
  • RCCA/Corrective Action
  • Auditing, Recertification, Process, and Product
  • Quality Objectives & Monitoring (including training plans)
  • Quality Plans/ Systems Interaction Map
  • New product Certification and Qualification
  • Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (End Item-field issues)
  • Contract Review/Quality Flow-down assessments
  • Risk Management
  • Assist with on-board new potential suppliers.
  • Plan, execute, and direct activities to assure that the dimensional, material, and visual characteristics of the product's design, as documented on detailed drawings, customer and industry specifications and quality standards are achieved.
  • Assure that products are compliant, conforming, and are of acceptable quality.
  • All other duties assigned by manager.

The Quality Control Manager will be knowledgeable across space / aircraft environments, processes with both analytical & intuitive skills to know all aspects of production and prototype work. The person in this role will also gain specific knowledge and experience FAA Repair station documentation, AS 9100, plus design, assembly & test environments. Have a crisp focus and excellent multi-disciplined communication skills.

  • Working cooperatively with all members of the organization.
  • Obtain adequate technical data and clarity to perform specific tasks.
  • Perform & be responsible for incoming piece part inspection, in-process inspection, final assembly outgoing inspection, equipment usage, additions, inspection records, & traceability.
  • Satisfy the requirements of AS9102 first article & Delta first article inspection.
  • Responsible for managing the inspector(s).
  • Act as a member of the Change Control Board (CCB) & Drawing Release System.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A.A.S. Degree or equivalent work experience (applicable experience of 5 - 10 years in quality control or related functions)
  • FAA Part 145 & AS9100 knowledge
  • Leadership problem solving, & organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Knowledge of configuration management techniques and hardware control requirements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods
  • Ability to read drawings and a thorough understanding of multi-level BOM’s
  • Able to use standard aerospace shop equipment inspection equipment and typical hand tools
  • Total commitment to process improvement and detailed procedural compliance
  • Understanding of FOD and ESD compliance and issues
  • Understands the principles of lean and 6S in a shop environment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship allowed)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (ANSI Y14.5M)
  • Knowledge of certification/qualification testing per DO-160 or MIL-STD-810
  • Aerospace Experience of 5 years’ minimum

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND VISUAL DEMANDS

  • Standard office environment; occasional exposure to plant noise/temperature, requiring PPE.
  • Frequent speaking, listening, and computer use.
  • Vision requirements include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
