EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.

We are currently seeking an individual to collaborate with us as an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic. The Equipment Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs, along with the general and preventive maintenance required for our machinery.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preventive maintenance, includes cleaning of coolant tanks, cleaning and changing equipment filters and replenishing or changing oils, etc.
• General mechanical, hydraulic, and electric repairs on CNC machines, press brakes, and other machinery throughout our facility.
• Facility maintenance as necessary, includes replacing HVAC filters, snow removal, changing light bulbs, etc.

• With limited supervision and quality work ethic, functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team whose goal is to ensure that facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
• Holds oneself accountable for doing whatever is needed to meet the commitments made around project outcomes.
• Maintains adequate levels of performance and motivation despite job tasks that are routine, repetitive, and/or non-stimulating.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directives.
• Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.
• Thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment to be operated.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to keep record of time spent and material used.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Finesse in performance of maintenance related duties.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $23.00 - $37.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
