Job Description
Kenco Hydraulics is seeking a hands-on Counter Sales / Hydraulic Service Representative for our Hatfield, PA location. This is not a traditional desk-based sales role. Our counter team works directly with customers, builds hydraulic hose assemblies, pulls industrial parts, receives equipment for repair, and supports daily shop operations.
Successful candidates are mechanically inclined, enjoy working with their hands, and are comfortable in an industrial shop environment where hydraulic oil, grease, dirt, and heavy equipment are part of the daily routine.
If you're looking for a clean office or retail sales position, this is probably not the right fit. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems and helping customers get equipment back up and running, we'd like to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers at the counter and over the phone with hydraulic hose, fitting, adapter, and industrial product needs.
- Build and crimp hydraulic hose assemblies to customer specifications (training provided).
- Pull parts and prepare customer orders from warehouse inventory.
- Receive and process customer repairs and equipment brought into the shop.
- Handle used hydraulic hoses, cylinders, pumps, and other industrial components that may be dirty, oily, or grease-covered.
- Load and unload customer materials and products.
- Maintain accurate sales orders, invoices, and customer records.
- Support shop operations and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work closely with service technicians and outside sales personnel to support customer needs.
What You Bring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment.
- Comfortable working in a hydraulic repair shop environment.
- Willingness to get hands-on with hydraulic hoses, fittings, industrial parts, and customer repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the day.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented.
- Basic computer skills for order entry and invoicing.
- Experience in hydraulics, industrial distribution, automotive parts, maintenance, construction equipment, farming, or mechanical trades is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
