3rd Shift Assembly Operator | Assembly at Corvac Composites, LLC – Kentwood, Michigan

POSITION TITLE: 3rd Shift Assembly Operator

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Production Lead/Supervisor

PAY STRUCTURE: Hourly

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Efficient operation of assembly equipment and other assembly tasks to safely produce and pack quality products to meet customer requirements.

BACKGROUND REQUIRED:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for up to 10 hours and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Must have excellent reading, writing, communication, and math skills
• Ability to work OT as needed
• High school diploma / GED preferred

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must be able to use and read various measuring devices

Operate HMI (Human Machine Interface) Screen

Ability to understand multiple types of assembly machine functions

Problem solving knowledge and ability.

Exposure to lean manufacturing principles

Attention to detail/Quality frame of mind

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to company policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality, and EMS

Follow standardized work instructions

Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality System

Observe general and specific safety rules. This includes observing light curtain and other safety devices while the machine is in operation

Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and contribute to the overall orderliness of the plant

Fill out all required paperwork including but not limited to production, scrap and downtime

Rework and repair defective parts as needed

Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am
40 hours a week with occasional overtime

PROPÓSITO DEL PUESTO: Operación eficiente del equipo de ensamblaje y otras tareas de ensamblaje para producir y empacar productos de calidad de manera segura para cumplir con los requisitos del cliente.

ANTECEDENTES REQUERIDOS:

 Capacidad para pararse, caminar, agacharse y girar hasta 10 horas y levantar hasta 20 libras.

 Debe tener excelentes habilidades de lectura, escritura, comunicación y matemáticas

 Capacidad para trabajar OT según sea necesario

 Diploma de escuela secundaria / GED preferido

HABILIDADES REQUERIDAS:

 Debe ser capaz de utilizar y leer varios dispositivos de medición

 Operar la pantalla HMI (interfaz hombre-máquina)

 Capacidad para comprender múltiples tipos de funciones de máquinas de ensamblaje

 Conocimiento y habilidad para resolver problemas.

 Exposición a los principios de manufactura esbelta

 Atención al detalle / estado de ánimo de calidad

DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES:

 Participar plenamente y apoyar el Sistema de Calidad de Corvac

 Mantener la limpieza del área de trabajo y contribuir al orden general de la planta

 Complete toda la documentación requerida, incluidas, entre otras, la producción, la chatarra y el tiempo de inactividad

 Retrabajo y reparación de piezas defectuosas según sea necesario
