Position Summary

The SEED Miami General Operations Support Manager is a key role responsible for the oversight, coordination, and continuous improvement of essential non-instructional operations at SEED Miami. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and effective management of dismissal and transportation logistics, cafeteria operations, while providing support with campus security and housekeeping services. The General Operations Support Manager works collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff, and external partners to support a safe, orderly, and student-centered school environment. This role will also assist compliance activities, and grants reporting, and maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Transportation, Fleet & Dismissal Management

  • Oversee transportation, manage transportation staff and contract, parent enrollment, and student dismissal procedures to ensure safety, timeliness, and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the school’s vehicle fleet, including scheduling, preventative maintenance, inspections, licensing, and recordkeeping.
  • Supervise, and evaluate bus and van monitors to ensure student safety during transit.
  • Develop and implement traffic flow and dismissal plans to maximize efficiency and safety during high-volume times.

Cafeteria Operations

  • Provide support on cafeteria services/national school lunch program, ensuring compliance with nutritional guidelines, health, and safety standards.
  • Monitor vendor performance, meal service quality, and student satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cafeteria staff to develop efficient service schedules and resolve operational challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cafeteria and transportation operational concerns raised by staff, students, and parents.

Administration & Compliance

  • Provide administrative support to the COFO, Compliance Director, and Director of Facilities, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and departmental communications with attention to confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and vendor coordination, track invoices, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Monitor budgets for assigned areas, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, compliance, and service quality.
  • Perform other tasks as required and/or assigned by supervisor(s).
  • Support compliance processes by managing documentation, calendars, renewals, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate facility operations, maintenance requests, and inventory management; assist with safety drills and special projects.
  • Support on implementation, and continuous improvement of emergency preparedness plans.
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely reports to the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), Miami-Dade
  • County Public Schools (MDCPS).
  • Assist with internal audits and documentation reviews to ensure adherence to grant and program regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Development Department on grants preparation to ensure further management and reporting.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Education Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in school operations, facilities management, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of school safety protocols, cafeteria service operations, and custodial best practices preferred.
  • Experience with Monday.com is preferred.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 - 5 PM.
