Location: Waukesha, WI
Schedule: First Shift | 9am-5pm | Monday through Friday | No Weekends! | Some holidays will be required
Compensation: $19-24/hr+, Dependent on Experience

- Partner with Veterinarians and the department team to maximize appointment flow and schedule efficiency.
- Coordinate patient appointments by requesting, obtaining, and organizing medical records prior to visits.
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, fax, and voicemail, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate message delivery.
- Follow up with clients regarding their pet's condition at home and relay updates to the medical team to support ongoing treatment plans.
- Answer client questions by providing clear aftercare instructions, medication guidance, and follow-up recommendations.
- Verify signed treatment estimates and completed deposits prior to scheduled appointments.
- Assist with prescription fulfillment and coordinate patient discharges in collaboration with the technician team.
- Work closely with Client Service Specialists and the medical team to deliver a seamless, compassionate client experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant.
- A compassionate, organized, and client-focused approach to patient and client care.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying calm, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain medical information in a clear, compassionate, and easy-to-understand manner.
- Confidence building positive relationships with clients, veterinarians, and fellow team members.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong client service skills and a genuine passion for helping people and their pets.
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.
- Working knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, medication handling, laboratory sample management, and patient aftercare instructions is preferred.
- Experience providing client support in person and over the phone.
- The ability to safely handle and restrain pets when needed to support patient care.
- The ability to stand and walk for the duration of your shift.
- Self-motivation with the initiative to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
