We are looking for a Quality Inspector who a drive for excellence!

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that internal and externally produced parts comply with all specified quality standards. This role involves sampling components, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation per MMP and customer requirements. The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality production standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.

What You’ll DoInspection & Quality Assurance

    Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications, performing visual and dimensional tests, and recording results in the ERP system.

    Identify and reject nonconforming materials, coordinating returns to suppliers with complete documentation.

    Inspect in-process production to ensure compliance with specifications, partnering with production supervisors to communicate adjustments.

    Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including FAIR (AS9102) and PPAP reports, meeting both industry and customer-specific requirements.

    Conduct final inspections on finished products, authorize rework when necessary, and verify that corrected items meet all standards.

    Maintain accurate inspection records to ensure full traceability and compliance.

    Care for and calibrate measurement devices, requesting repairs when needed.

    Continuously expand your expertise through training and professional development.

    Support ISO/AS quality system compliance and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Customer Service & Communication

    Help uphold high customer satisfaction standards and service programs.

    Promote clear communication of quality expectations across teams and suppliers.

    Assist in resolving customer quality concerns quickly and professionally.

    Ensure timely, courteous handling of customer and supplier inquiries.

Safety & Compliance

    Support initiatives that promote workplace safety and loss prevention.

    Reinforce adherence to company safety procedures to maintain a secure environment.

Additional Responsibilities

    Collaborate with management to ensure operational compliance with company policies.

    Compile and analyze rejection data, preparing reports as needed.

    Support PiWeb/Minitab customization based on customer and supervisor needs.

    Operate and program Zeiss/CMM equipment using Calypso software.

    Ensure timely closure of RWK and RMA jobs.

Required Skills & Abilities

    Exceptional attention to detail with strong visual and dimensional inspection skills.

    Clear, confident communication skills for working across departments.

    Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

    Familiarity with ERP systems for quality tracking and reporting.

    Solid understanding of ISO/AS quality standards and compliance processes.

Education & Experience

    Previous experience in quality inspection, ideally in manufacturing or machining.

    Working knowledge of AS9102 FAIR and PPAP documentation.

    Experience with customer-specific quality requirements and auditing processes.
