EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time

JOB SUMMARY:
The YEA-REAP Program Assistant will support planning, coordination, and evaluation of the YEA-REAP program including the YEA-REAP Summer Camp. This undergraduate position plays a key role in logistics preparation, evaluation activities, and multimedia data collection designed to capture program results and produce materials for program improvement and sponsor engagement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with pre-camp planning and logistics, including scheduling, communication, and coordination with camp staff
- Support development and preparation of camp evaluation tools and data collection materials
- Help organize structured digital systems for surveys, feedback, and other camp evaluation activities
- Coordinate video documentation processes for camper reflections and camp activities
- Assist with setup of secure systems for campers to record and upload videos
- Prepare prompts and guided questions for short camper video reflections and interviews
- Help manage an on-site interview space for guided camper video recording
- Oversee day-of evaluation activities to ensure surveys, interviews, videos, and reflections are collected systematically
- Assist with organizing and compiling post-camp evaluation data, media, and related materials
- Support preparation of digital summaries, reports, or short videos for sponsors and stakeholders
- Collaborate with camp staff to ensure ethical and secure handling of participant data and media
- Respect and follow all camper privacy, consent, and media permission procedures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Clear and effective communication
- Comfort with digital media tools such as video recording, file management, and cloud storage.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and coordinate activities in a dynamic camp environment.
- Quick thinking and problem-solving
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Student in education, social sciences, communications, media, or a related field, or with relevant experience.
- Interest in youth programs, program evaluation, or storytelling is a plus.
Licensing and Certifications: NA
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work will involve exposure to outdoor and indoor conditions including physically active projects
- Some travel is required
- Maybe required to work some weekends, nights, or be on-call
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
