Registered Nurse at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed register nurse that can work in a busy ENT clinic. We need a person that is dependable, with strong work ethics. Good communication and computer skills are required. The RN will oversee the allergy program for this clinic. The allergy nurse ensures safe preparation and administration of allergen extracts, monitors patients for adverse reactions including anaphylaxis, maintains regulatory compliance and contributes to quality and clinical outcomes. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administering subcutaneous immunotherapy, sublingual immunotherapy according to a physician treatment plan, performing and interpreting allergy testing, monitoring patients pre-during and post-immunotherapy. Prepare, label, dilute and store allergan extracts and immunotherapy vials. Educate patients on allergy management. Will provide education on patch testing, intradermal testing and drug allergy testing. The RN will assist in preauthorization of tests and procedures. The clinic hours are 8:00am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
