The Concrete Worker is responsible for supporting construction activities at the Hailiang facility by performing concrete installation, finishing, and repair work. This role contributes to both new facility construction and the refurbishment of existing structures, ensuring that concrete foundations, slabs, walkways, and other structural elements are built according to project specifications and safety standards. The Concrete Worker will collaborate with supervisors and other construction team members to complete projects efficiently and with high-quality workmanship.

• Prepare construction sites for concrete work, including grading, forming, and setting reinforcement materials.

• Build and install concrete forms, braces, and molds to hold concrete in place during pouring and curing.

• Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete for foundations, slabs, floors, walls, and other structures.

• Use tools such as trowels, screeds, floats, and power finishing equipment to smooth and finish surfaces.

• Monitor the setting and curing process to ensure proper strength and finish.

• Repair and refurbish existing concrete surfaces, including patching, resurfacing, and sealing.

• Cut joints and edges using hand tools or power saws.

• Assist with demolition and removal of damaged concrete when required.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and site safety requirements.

• Work with supervisors and other construction trades to maintain project schedules and workflow.

• Experience in commercial or industrial concrete work preferred.

• Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, forming, and finishing techniques.

• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment.

• Ability to read or follow basic construction plans and instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented construction environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods.

• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

• Active construction and industrial facility environment.

• Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and outdoor conditions.

• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
