The cost team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of conceptual estimating, budget development, cost planning, feasibility studies, value management, economic forecasting, milestone reports, pre- and post-contract auditing, change order review and reconciliation, BIM 5D cost modeling, LEED cost analysis, life cycle costing, and more. We are currently hiring for a Senior Director, Cost & Commercial Management in Las Vegas, NV. The Senior Director, Cost & Commercial Management actively leads, assembles and supervises the Cost & Commercial Management team within a market or region on assigned projects or is a subject matter expert in one specific sector and consistently delivers excellent service to one or more clients. This position prepares Fee Proposals, negotiates Professional Services Agreements, and prepares and provides quality assurance to project deliverables including estimates, contract reviews, controls services, contract administration advice and other services. The Senior Director position is responsible for managing a team as well as for profitability, labor productivity, and volume goals, both projections and actuals. The Senior Director is a technical subject matter expert, participates in thought leadership, looks to continually improve our product and deliverables and provides strategic and tactical leadership in their area of responsibility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Partner with other Cumming service line leaders and business development leaders to build a cohesive revenue growth strategy.
Demonstrate senior level technical competence as an advisor to clients in cost and commercial management.
Take accountability for profitability, labor productivity, and volume goals both projections and actuals of team, project, or regional assigned.
Actively support and deliver new clients or extended client revenue streams.
Collaborate with other service lines to provide our clients with a seamless service.
Increase services to existing clientele by providing solutions to their issues and develop new revenue generating business.
Develop strategies for the recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members to further enhance team performance.
Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Coordinate staff utilization.
Prepare monthly backlog, utilization, forecast, and P&L reports.
Collaborate with other department leadership to promote overall company growth and communication.
Oversee and actively implement process improvements to the cost management service delivery for designated sector, office, or region assigned.
Act as mentor to team.
participates in leadership meetings with service line leads and in market. Setting strategy for business development and marketing.
Accountable for fiscal performance in accordance with company goals.
Provide organizational leadership in area of control.
Other duties as assigned.
Attendance at work during normal business hours.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Provide input on functional strategies and lead execution by designing programs.
Proactively influence changes, thinking through issue trends and scalable solutions that further organizational goals.
Identify and drive accountabilities.
Nurture regional and global team member and client relationships.
Identify resources to keep current and network externally.
Mentor and develop key team members (may be outside the chain of command).
Proven expertise level of knowledge in all phases of construction work.
Demonstrate ability to coach team members effectively.
Proven ability to address team member and client complaints and resolve problems.
Solid Business Development and revenue growth history.
Provide suggestions to Cumming senior leadership on cost management operations as well as company, regional, and sector goal setting.
Effectively represent Cumming business goals and objectives.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Experience: 10 to 15 years in Cost & Commercial Management; 5+ years leading client expectations and managing a business unit.
Preferred Certification: Professional accreditation – MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience working on large scale projects is preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $153,100.00-$214,366.70 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package.
