About This Position
Management Controls is seeking a senior services leader to own and evolve our global Consulting Services delivery portfolio, encompassing net-new implementations, system upgrades, and complex client-facing project work. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery excellence across a global portfolio—ensuring projects are delivered predictably, profitably, and with high client confidence. The Director / Sr. Director will lead project and program management functions, oversee portfolio and resource planning, and serve as a senior escalation point for both clients and internal stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in project delivery, portfolio governance, capacity planning, and executive stakeholder management. The ideal candidate brings structure to complexity, anticipates risk before it materializes, and builds scalable delivery models that support growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery & Portfolio Leadership
· Own the global Consulting Services delivery portfolio, including implementations, upgrades, and strategic client initiatives
· Establish portfolio-level governance with visibility into delivery health, risk, dependencies, and outcomes
· Drive consistent execution across regions while allowing for local nuance and client complexity
· Act as the senior escalation point for complex delivery issues, client risks, and timeline challenges
· Partner closely with Services, Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership to align delivery commitments with product and commercial realities
Project & Program Management Excellence
· Define and standardize project and program management frameworks, tools, and delivery expectations
· Ensure discipline around scope, timelines, risk management, change control, and financial performance
· Lead remediation of at-risk programs, including client communication and recovery planning
· Champion data-driven delivery management through dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting
Resource & Capacity Management
· Own global resource planning and capacity management across Consulting Services
· Balance utilization, skill mix, regional coverage, and cost efficiency
· Partner with Services leadership on hiring plans, role design, and workforce strategy
· Anticipate future demand and proactively align capacity to pipeline and contractual commitments
Client & Executive Engagement
· Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic clients
· Build trust with senior client stakeholders through transparent communication and predictable delivery
· Navigate complex client environments with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving scope
· Represent Consulting Services in executive forums internally and externally
Operational Scale & Continuous Improvement
· Design scalable delivery models to support growth without sacrificing quality or predictability
· Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate reporting, and reduce manual overhead
· Drive continuous improvement through post-project reviews, trend analysis, and operational insights
· Partner with Product and Engineering to feed delivery insights back into roadmap and enablement efforts
Leadership & Talent Development
· Lead and develop high-performing project managers, program managers, and delivery leaders
· Set clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability standards
· Coach leaders on executive communication, risk management, and decision-making
· Build a culture of ownership, clarity, and follow-through
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 12+ years of experience in professional services, consulting delivery, or program leadership within enterprise or SaaS environments
- 7+ years in a senior leadership role managing complex, global delivery portfolios
- Deep expertise in project management, program governance, and portfolio oversight
- Proven experience with resource planning, capacity management, and utilization optimization
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing delivery margins and cost structures
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading global teams across multiple regions and time zones
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Comfort operating in ambiguity while bringing structure and clarity to teams
