Who We Are Looking For:

The Order Management Specialist is responsible for end-to-end order processing and order tracking, while ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction and control compliance. This role requires a procurement and customer service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What will you be doing as an Order Management Specialist

  • Ensure orders are placed with vendors/suppliers in a timely manner and in accordance with control and audit requirements.
  • Monitor order status and shipment progress, liaising with the appropriate contacts to ensure on-time delivery and invoicing.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries and order-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the Order Management workflow, implementing best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to order volume, productivity, SLAs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior order management personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve order management issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to order management.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

Required education, technical skills, and/or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field, or relevant experience commensurate with the desired level of education.
  • Proven experience in operations, sales operations, or customer service roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with order management software/systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in NetSuite and Salesforce (or other CRM) environments is strongly desired.
  • Industry experience within the VAR Space is strongly desired.

TRAVEL:

Travel is occasionally required for this position. Some projects may require out-of-the-area and overnight travel. Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance. Must be able to travel overnight, as needed.
