The Treasury and Payments Director plays a pivotal role in serving business and commercial clients by delivering exceptional, efficient, and courteous support for all Treasury and payment‑related needs. This position is responsible for driving new business development, generating deposit growth through proactive prospecting, and expanding existing client relationships that benefit from Treasury and Depository services. The ideal candidate leads the Treasury Sales and Treasury Analyst teams, works closely with the Treasury Service team to ensure seamless delivery, and champions client retention and satisfaction through high‑touch relationship management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide management and sales leadership for the Treasury Management team including, but not limited to, new business development, sales planning and market strategy.
- Coach and lead the sales team on pipeline management, calling efforts, and sales planning.
- Handle intricate and/or high-level accounts directly.
- Requires detailed knowledge of the bank’s capabilities and market conditions, working closely with account officers to ensure that clients’ ongoing needs are met.
- Monitor and ensure that “new” and “expanded” business development goals are met annually for self and all Treasury Services officers.
- Oversee prospect and client analysis, especially for Account Analysis, net interest income, and profitability purposes.
- Coordinate internal and external Treasury Services for product training.
- Monitor billing and collection of commercial deposit account services.
- Oversee the approval and renewal of all exposure related to Treasury Services, including but not limited to Automated Clearing House (ACH) Services and Zero Balance Accounts (ZBAs), and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
- Establish and maintain effective, efficient, and profitable relationships with internal support areas and third-party vendors for Treasury Services as needed.
- Responsible for ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Recommend new product development/enhancement for all Treasury Services product lines.
- Participate in other Commercial Financial Services initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years of banking sales experience
- 7 years of experience in Treasury or Treasury Services
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualification
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BS or BA) preferably with a business or finance focus.
- Prior leadership experience, preferably in banking sales or treasury service.
- Certified Cash Manager (CCM) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP).
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
