Dietary Aide at The Vistas Assisted Living and Memory Care – Redding, California

The Dietary Aide assists to prepare and serve meals for the dietary department in a safe and appetizing method in compliance with dietary standards, policy and procedures. They also assist with cleaning the kitchen and dining room, washes dishes, and returns food to proper storage.

1. Assists or prepares food items and serves food to residents within scheduled timeframe.
2. Cleans and maintains food service areas, including the kitchen and dining room.
3.Assists Dining Services Director in maintaining inventory control.
4. Reports any loss, breakage or waste of supplies and equipment, and communicates any problems or potential problems to the Dining Services Director.
6. Displays mature behavior and attitude in speech and action; demonstrates consistently pleasant demeanor, tone of voice, supports the mission statement and approach to care used by the community.
7. Maintains an acceptable attendance record; notifies supervisor if late or unable to work in accordance with personnel polices; follows the assigned work schedule.
