Job Title: Leasing Agent
Location: Corporate Headquarters (with travel throughout South Puget Sound)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
About the Role
The Leasing Agent for Targa Real Estate Services’ Single-Family Division is responsible for marketing, showing, and leasing our portfolio of small assets (typically fewer than 20 units) throughout the South Puget Sound region. This role is based at our corporate office but requires regular travel to properties to meet prospective tenants, conduct showings, and support a positive leasing experience.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Marketing
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries and schedule showings.
- Conduct property tours with prospective tenants and highlight key features of each home.
- Prepare and post accurate online listings, ensuring photos and descriptions are current.
- Track and report leasing activity, traffic, and market trends.
Tenant Relations & Application Processing
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective tenants and communicate clearly throughout the application and screening process.
- Process rental applications, verify documentation, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with Targa’s leasing criteria.
- Deliver application decisions and assist with next steps, including lease signing and move-in coordination.
- Notices drafted and posted to physical doors to ensure tenants are in lease compliance.
- Internal occupied inspections as needed.
Property Coordination
- Ensure homes are “show ready” by coordinating with maintenance and vendors for cleaning, repairs, and turnover work.
- Perform periodic property checks to confirm condition and presentation standards.
- Report any concerns or needed improvements to the property management team.
Qualifications
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel daily throughout the South Puget Sound region ($500/month fuel/cell phone stipend provided).
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Experience in RealPage and Buildium are a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization across a dispersed portfolio.
- Comfortable working independently in the field while staying connected to the corporate team.
- 1-2 years of experience in leasing, real estate, customer service, or property management
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- $70,000-$75,000/year DOE+$500/month fuel/cell phone stipend.
