The Safety Leader is a hands-on, floor-based role focused on driving accountability and consistency in safety practices. This is not a compliance-only position, it is about real-time observation, immediate action, and reinforcing clear, non-negotiable expectations. This role brings fresh perspective, helps simplify safety on the floor, and ensures leadership stays focused on preventing risk and protecting our people. Reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with site leadership to ensure visibility, accountability, and follow-through. This role is not limited to a single shift. The Safety Leader is expected to support all shifts as needed to ensure consistent safety standards, visibility, and accountability across the entire operation.

- Strong leadership accountability on the floor
Key Responsibilities
- Observe daily operations and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions in real time
- Address issues immediately through direct coaching and intervention
- Reinforce consistent adherence to safety standards
- Partner with leadership to drive accountability and maintain focus on key safety priorities
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments; implement corrective actions
- Support development and delivery of safety training and onboarding
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
- Track trends and provide clear, objective insight to leadership
- Promote a strong, engaged “safety-first” culture across the facility
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Ability to influence and coach in real time
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Comfortable working on the floor daily
