About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, tenacious, and hands-on Fulfillment Operations Manager to lead daily fulfillment operations at our Texas-based distribution facility supporting multiple premier brands — including Berroco, Madelinetosh, and Jimmy Beans Wool.
This individual will own fulfillment operations end-to-end, lead a diverse team, and ensure the department runs efficiently, accurately, and at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong warehouse and fulfillment management experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is equally comfortable on the floor as they are driving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Fulfillment & Shipping Operations
- Oversee all daily pulling, packing, and outbound shipping operations
- Ensure weekly shipping goals are met and department performance remains on track
- Monitor, audit, and actively reduce shipping costs while maintaining service standards
- Manage shipping supply inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement within budget
- Maintain accuracy and compliance across all outbound order workflows in Shopify and NetSuite
- Oversee carrier performance and troubleshoot shipping issues across integrated platforms including ShipStation and Endicia
Team Leadership & People Management
- Maintain a strong, visible floor presence and lead by example daily
- Directly supervise fulfillment staff and provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback
- Foster a positive, accountable, and inclusive team culture
- Handle employee relations matters professionally; assist with documentation for corrective actions and escalations
- Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety, ensuring all employees follow established procedures and best practices
- Partner with HR and leadership on workforce planning, onboarding, and retention
- Motivate and develop employees, identifying growth opportunities within the operation
Cross-Departmental Coordination
- Coordinate daily workflow across Fulfillment, Finishing, and Warehouse teams
- Ensure clear, proactive communication between departments to prevent bottlenecks
- Identify and resolve cross-functional issues quickly
- Support production scheduling and capacity planning in alignment with fulfillment demands
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead the development and documentation of SOPs, workflows, and operational standards
- Identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings
- Assist leadership in planning and executing operational projects and facility improvements
- Contribute to building scalable systems as the Texas operation grows

Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience in fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution operations (required)
- Proven track record managing high-volume shipping operations and large teams
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Shopify; familiarity with ShipStation, Endicia, or similar platforms a plus
- Strong understanding of inventory management, order accuracy, and logistics workflows
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop frontline employees
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound operational decisions
- Flexible availability, including willingness to work weekends when operational needs required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Bonus points (Strategic Skills)
- NetSuite ERP Consultant Certification or SuiteFoundation Certification
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or distribution industries
- Advanced SuiteScript 2.0/2.1 development experience
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management
- Knowledge of financial processes including revenue recognition, procurement, and financial reporting
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
- Experience implementing NetSuite from scratch or leading major system migrations

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on your location as well as the experience and the skills you bring.
- Proficient-level experience falls toward the lower to mid-range.
- Strategic-level experience may be considered at the upper range.
