In this role, you will significantly impact the development of an innovative platform that leverages AI in camera technology. You will manage a distributed group of software engineers while collaborating with product development to enhance our offerings. Accountabilities- Lead and manage a remote team of engineers in the development of a large, complex video and robotics system involving multiple components.
- Design, develop, and maintain software for the platform using technologies like TypeScript, React, Go, and Rust.
- Provide leadership through coaching and mentoring to ensure high standards of software quality.
- Coordinate with stakeholders throughout the organization to facilitate swift communication.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling, and capacity management across releases.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the field, especially AI and robotics.
- Experience coaching and leading software engineers over several years.
- Strong background in distributed computing, robotics, AI/ML, or complex IoT systems.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, and willingness to learn Rust.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for leading a remote team.
