About This Position

Description:

WEEKENDS REQUIRED

Pay Rate: $19 - $21 per hour based on experience

Hours: Full-Time availability, 10am-6pm

Job Summary:

Our company is looking for a Assistant Chef/Kitchen Staff to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly store and dispose of food;
  • Ensure health and sanitation standards are in compliance with regulations;
  • Aid culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe;
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff team members;
  • Aid culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe, garnishing and plating of dishes;
  • Aid team in preparing dishes to recipe;
  • Help cleaning and organizing in the kitchen;
  • Knowledge of scheduling and food inventory.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Food handling certifications that apply;
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils;
  • Experience with food preparation including cooking and plating meals;
  • Demonstrate humility;
  • Strive for excellence in all aspects of the job;
  • The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed;
  • Work with integrity in all interactions;
  • Experience with dining services in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef or Dietary Aide role;
  • Express compassion for residents, staff and guests on a consistent basis;
  • Work harmoniously with other employees and develop/maintain good employee relations and employee morale;
  • The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation;
  • Prefer past experience in this position but not mandatory if you are flexible, a quick learner and a hard worker;
  • Proven past experience;
  • Ability to communicate and listen and execute effectively;
  • Appropriate attitude and mindset for fast pace environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of kitchen experience preferred but not required

Complete training or certifications in CPR, HIPAA, HIV/AIDS, Verbal De-Escalation, Incident Reporting, Infection/STD Risks, HEP B/C, and Abuse, Neglect, Trauma, and Exploitation, Understanding SUD, and any other training required by the State or the Joint Commission.
