About This Position
Associate AttorneyAldridge Pite, LLP is a multi-state law firm that focuses heavily on the utilization of technology to create work flow synergies with its clients and business partners. Purpose:The Associate is responsible for preparing notices of sale and addressing inquiries related to title. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years real estate experience, and will have conducted settlements, will understand title and insurability issues, and will have prepared some closing documents. Opportunity to handle some litigation cases, if interested. This position is full time in our office. Responsibilities:Review HUD-1/ALTA settlement statements;Review deeds;Disburse proceeds from sale of real property to parties in interest; File interpleader actions; Review title and prepare and review notices of sale for legal sufficiency for VA foreclosure sales;Prioritize and manage a high- volume portfolio of work with strict deadlines and diligent attention to detail;Address inquiries related to real estate title and title insurance;Attend foreclosure sales as needed;Other legal duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Admission to the Virginia Bar required. Recent law school graduates awaiting Virginia bar results are welcome to apply;Experience resolving title problems through litigation or negotiation is desired;1-3 years of Real Estate Law experience preferable; The ideal candidate will have superior oral and written communication skills;Be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask;Comfortable working independently and with a team.Scan to Apply
