Job Description
Job Summary:
Fabricate /Assemble portable restrooms, restroom trailers and related sink products in a timely and safe manner. Regular shop hours are 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. This position may require some overtime, including Saturday hours, depending on workflow. Receives direction from Team Leader, Shop Supervisor and Facility Manager.
Wage Range - $17.50 - $20.00 hour
Examples of Essential Duties and responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assemble plumbing / electrical components used in the construction of portable restrooms, restroom trailers and sinks.
- Troubleshoot/verify all electrical connections as needed.
- Assemble trailer enclosures / roof assemblies and interior components.
- Ability to operate table saw, cut HDPE (high density polyethylene) panels to size.
- Ability to operate chop saw or band saw to cut aluminum extrusion pieces to size.
- Fabricate/weld all assemblies needed such as AC brackets.
- Assist in the final construction/assembly of restrooms, restroom trailers and sinks.
- Use all safety devises on tools and equipment. Wear safety gear. Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
- Keep work area clean, safe and clutter free.
Accountability:
Complete quality construction of restroom, restroom trailer and utility sink products in a timely manner to meet production goals. Perform tasks safely. Assume responsibility for special assignments as directed by the Shop Supervisor. Work well with team members.
Requirements:Experience:
- Minimum of one year's experience in a related field: welding, plumbing, electrical and general manufacturing practices.
- Must demonstrate ability to work safely with table saw, band saw, hand and power tools.
- General fabrication experience desired.
Education and/or Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Related trade school training a plus.
Knowledge:
- Must be knowledgeable in basic construction principles, the use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Must be able to follow verbal or written directions.
- Must be an energetic individual with good work ethic and attitude.
- Manufacturing production experience / knowledge desired.
Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to use saws, power tools, hand tools, screw guns, and measuring instruments.
- Must be able and willing to learn new skills as needed to meet the needs of NuConcepts.
- Must be able to work effectively with fellow employees, including but not limited to training.
- Reasonable communication skills required. Be respectful and professional.
- Must be willing and able to meet all quality, safety and efficiency requirements.
Special requirements:
- Ability to understand, speak, read and write English (bi-lingual desired).
- Must be an energetic individual with a good attitude, good work ethic and willing to go the extra mile to excel.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing and able to meet department production and quality goals.
Physical requirements/working conditions:
- Must adapt to all weather conditions. Some work may be performed in shop area as well as outdoors.
- Will be exposed to loud and noisy equipment and tools.
- Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment.
- Some heavy lifting, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling and working in small spaces required.
