Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Hospice Care at Hospice of Holland Inc – Holland, Michigan

Position Details:

• Hourly Position
• Full-time
• Weekly Schedule Monday through Friday – Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Salary commensurate with experience

Position Summary:

The first-shift Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) works out of our Holland office and is a member of the interdisciplinary group working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse Case Manager providing various services for hospice patients as necessary to meet their personal needs and to promote comfort. The Certified Nurse's Aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care given.

Position Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Providing personal care (bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, changing bed linen, washing hair and nail care)
• Assisting with patient safety needs
• Assisting with ambulation and exercises as assigned
• Assists with feeding, as needed
• Takes and records vital signs
• Assists with respite for caregiver when on-site, (as needed)
• Assists with range of motion and other simple procedures to maintain comfort

Position Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year experience in hospice, long term care, or home care
• Be a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) in the State of Michigan (CNA sponsorships may be available)
