About This Position
BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: Mixes, fries, glazes and fills doughnuts for sale to customers through the Bakery Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Mixes doughnut batter. Fries, glazes and fills doughnuts. Stacks full trays of doughnuts on four-wheel and six-wheel carts.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Operates and cleans related equipment. Drains and filters cooking oil.
May perform training duties. May assist with inventory receiving duties. Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
Other necessary and required duties.
SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk rapidly, bend, twist and turn frequently. Ability to work at a production rate of speed. Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination and good balance are necessary.
Ability to frequently reach, lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 50 lbs., within the range of floor level to overhead. Must be able to operate related utensils and equipment including hoppers, mixers and fryers. Ability to push and pull fully loaded four-wheel and six-wheel carts.
Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of job duties. Re quires knowledge of basic math, temperatures, frying procedures, and weights and measures. Ability to learn safety and sanitation procedures and department policies and procedures.
Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to frying procedures, equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties. Frequent exposure to hot grease and temperatures of approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The working environment consists of a produc tion area of the Bakery Department within a temperature controlled store environment. Early morning work hours are usually required.
