Respiratory Therapist (Registered)

POSITION PURPOSE The Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position is responsible for administering respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system under the supervision of a physician and by prescription. MINIMUM MANDATORY qualifications Experience:

• One (1) year of acute care facility experience

Education:

• Certification (Certified Respiratory Therapist) and/or registered (Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care

Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

• Graduated (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree) from an accredited respiratory therapy training program
• Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record documentation and workflows
• Strong computer Microsoft and Excel skills
