About This Position
Now Hiring: Toddler Teacher (Two-Year-Old Classroom) – First Step Learning Centers (Texas)
This full-time position is ideal for candidates who are committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning experience for two-year-olds while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Position Details
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play and structured curriculum.
Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers.
Support children's language, motor, and social development through engaging interactions.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on each child’s progress.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Follow state licensing requirements and center policies to ensure safety and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6 months of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center.
High school diploma or GED.
Must meet state licensing requirements for childcare staff.
Ability to pass a background check and required health screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
CDA (Child Development Associate) or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
1+ years of experience in a licensed childcare center working with toddlers.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and classroom management techniques.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
