The Store Manager has responsibility for delivering on the Scooter’s Coffee promise by building a team of Amazing People, who make Amazing Drinks, Amazingly Fast. This role will manage all staffing, sales, and operations in the Scooter’s Coffee Monticello location. In particular, this role will build and lead a friendly, service-oriented barista team, set a high-energy work pace, drive sales, and increase profits, by leveraging an engaged management style. The Store Manager must exemplify Scooter’s Coffee core values of integrity, love, humility, and courage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver on growth targets by ensuring a consistent and quality customer experience through proper staffing, execution of brand beverage recipes and techniques, and fostering the Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service experience

• Take pride in the store appearance and inspire the team to do the same

• Maintain visual merchandising standards, food safety standards, and the cleanliness of the store and equipment

• Interview, hire, train, and develop team to demonstrate all company standards in customer experience and operations

• Provide ongoing performance feedback and development for team members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performance

• Invest in team members’ continued success by identifying growth opportunities

• Maintain accountability with employees using a progressive discipline process; partner with Field Brand Consultant and, when necessary, Human Resources to make termination decisions

• Determine daily and weekly staffing requirements based on business need, and create corresponding work schedules; ensure planning accounts for potential disruptions

• Implement a varied schedule to develop employees, meet business needs, and maximize sales potential across all hours of operation

• Contribute to store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales while expertly managing expenses

• Meet and exceed company standards in personal and store sales/performance metrics

• Encourage and ensure full team participation in both setting store goals and developing action plans to accomplish goals

• Ensure all cash handling, point of sale system, safety, and operational procedures are performed with integrity and in an accurate, and consistent manner

• Maintain daily, weekly, and quarterly financial reports and leverage the reports to adjust operations as appropriate

• Maintain final accountability for store operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.

• Demonstrated experience in building a high performing team by effectively teaching and leading others.

• Demonstrated experience with building, and accurately managing, work force management models.

• Demonstrated experience with interpreting financial reports and adjusting associated operations as appropriate.

• Self-starter with an engaging and motivating communication style. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment with personal accountability for attention to detail and the success of established goals and timelines.

• Demonstrated passion to serve others and create a positive work environment.

• Ability to excel in a constantly moving work environment with multiple priorities by leveraging strong problem-solving skills, and accurately anticipating and responding to customer needs.

• Excellent communication (i.e., written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive cooperation from cross-functional teams.
