About This Position

Ally Building Solutions provides flooring, cabinetry, countertop, window treatments, appliances, wire shelving, glass enclosure products, millwork, expert installation services, as well as design studio solutions to new home builders in greater Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and Fort Myers.

We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Bids Specialist to join our team. The Bids Specialist facilitates the efficient administration of bids, bid reviews, and associated bid documentation.

Cabinet Bids Specialist Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints, floor plans, design layout elevations.
  • Provide feedback to Cabinet Designer about inaccuracies, design errors, recommendations (general or specific).
  • Gather information from multiple sources and consolidate for proposals.
  • Create and maintain Excel bid templates, including complex formulas.
  • Maintenance of data, and pricing for accuracy, based on changing specs.
  • Create proposals to help obtain additional business.
  • Assist with the development of final bid documents and arrangements to supply these documents to the customer within defined deadlines.
  • Ensure bid and proposal documentation is formatted, collated, and presented in a professional manner.
  • Monitor bid/quotation throughout the process, providing weekly status/exception reports as required.
  • Maintain status of proposals and work with Manager to ensure they are reviewed, revised, and reapproved, as necessary.
  • Create lot specific custom pricing proposals.
  • Provide Design team with option pricing for appointments.
  • Provide and organize documents to production to ensure necessary materials for individual job are present as well as pricing of materials is accurate.
  • Undertake other administrative tasks as required.

Cabinet Bids Specialist Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience with 2020 Design Software, or similar CAD design program
  • Proficient in the use of MS software, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with strong attention to detail, time management and prioritization
  • Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Adaptable and flexible
