CLEVELAND AREA HOSPITAL is an independent, self-managed Critical Access Hospital half an hour west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs various types of diagnostic X-ray procedures, adjusts x-ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. Assists physicians in assigned examinations utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Adhere to all policies of the organization, including (but not limited to) job description, certification/licensure requirements, mission statement, HIPAA, confidentiality standards and patient’s rights.
  2. Actively engage and stay up to date with organization’s communications and directives.
  3. Will be responsible for performing Radiology exams on Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Department patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  4. Responsible for radiation protection of self, patients and other team members, placing orders and ensure correct documentation hits the EMR, and that the correct charges post.
  5. Must exhibit a high level of professionalism, and be a team player with strong people skills working independently while also as a member of the team.
  6. Will read and distinguish physician orders and must be able to determine the appropriateness of the ordered exams. This will mean being able to articulate to providers and other team member’s questions or concerns with ordered exams or procedures.
  7. Must work closely with scheduling, access, dietary, ER, Nursing, maintenance, housekeeping, Physical Therapy, Purchasing, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Billing, HIM and Administration, and be able to multi task and have a very keen attention to details.
  8. Completing assigned projects/reports on time.
  9. Performing all other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or board eligible. If board eligible you must obtain within three months of hire date.

EXPERIENCE:

Prefer 2+ years of Radiology Tech experience required. Also prefer experience and/or certification in multiple modalities.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION:

This position could have access to patient confidential records and must comply with HIPAA regulations as well as CAH Compliance Policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work inside, travel outside, lift patients and equipment of various sizes and weights.
